Lazy Day With K.C. And A Very Good Book!

Today is a lazy day, it is finally cooling off here in AZ. and I swear the cooler weather makes me want to sleep. K.C. has been hanging out with me today as his school is on vacation until January! Big Brother's vacation starts tomorrow. K.C. has been doing a lot of finger twisting (I am not sure if it's called that but it's what it seems to be) The photo below shows his little fingers a bit twisted. Not sure if it means anything? I did manage to get out this morning and made a trip to the bookstore! I have found the best book- it is called, 'Making Peace With Autism.' I got the paperback copy but there is also a hardcover as well. This book is awesome. Susan Senator is the author and an Autism Mommy as well. This link tells all about the book,

Have a great day!

I loved making Peace with Autism!

I just read A Wild Ride Up The Cupboards, which is a fictional account of a child with autism. It was a great book, but it took a lot out of me reading it. The story line is very intense.

I had to read a bit to catch up. Glad to hear KC's doing better. Seizures are scary things but you, a strong woman like Yehudit, are able to help KC and stay strong yourself.

I have to share a story with you, faith-to-faith. Now that LargeBoy has been in a public high school for 1 1/2yrs, he's making more friends and learning other faiths besides catholicism. He was at a friend's house on Saturday and got to witness, and share in the lighting of the menorah. He thought it was the coolest thing.

Oh yes, and he witnessed his friend, a teenager like him, participating, singing, praying - and guess what! It wasn't uncool! Wow! What a concept for a teenager to grasp.

Anyway, I wanted to share that with you and check in on KC!

Saw a huge menorah being lit on Central Park South when we were in NYC this weekend (electronically, that is). Nothing like a book and one's boy to curl up with...

I'm so glad that it is finally cooling off there and that you are relaxing and enjoying some peaceful time, you deserve it. I have read a lot about Susan's book and would like to get a copy for myself, maybe I will do that as a treat to myself. Hugs to the three of you, Love ya!

well noah does all sorts of things with his fingers from time to time.....and I think it has to do with his hyper-flexible joints and sensory issues...
