Welcome! This Blog was made for my son K.C. K.C. is 10 years old and Autistic. He is non verbal but is doing well with PECS. K.C. loves Disney movies and is absolutely in love with the credits at the end. Big Brother is not Autistic, he is 11 years old and an awesome Big Brother to K.C. He loves Football, Soccer and Science.

Your son is beautiful and what a great mom you are. Thanks for sharing so well.
I would like to personally invite you to join a new community that I just launched for families who love someone with autism. I am the parent of a 12 year old with autism so this project comes from my heart. I would love for you to take a peek around it, make suggestions, create a personal page, link from there to your own blog, etc...
You can view my own personal page at www.foggyrock.com/MyPage/wynnsmom
We still have much to do to make the site as vibrant and alive as I would like it, but I think we have a good start and your presence there would be a bonus!
Cheers-
Shannon Johnson
I love that you posted a video of KC!! I feel like I got to "know" him a little bit! His face is so expressive "in person", Tina! He says so much without even saying a word. :-)
I love this! It has been raing here today. Junior likes it but is afraid of it.
Junior keeps saying"See again mommy. See da wane." He really likes this video.
He does seem to like the rain! I think he gave you his answer in facial expressions. Can he sign to show his likes and dislikes?
I'm hoping for more rain for you!
Thanks for the video---great to see KC "in action."
Hello, I could not get this to work yesterday. I'll try again. I do not know what that acronym means but it looks familiar. Send me and email djonas@cox.net
Did you notice that you asked him what he thought about the rain. Girl it looked like he told you wet as he touched his mouth. I do sign language and we speak in concept with that language. I think your boy may have told you "wet"
He usually shows his likes by smiling and dislikes by crying or pinching. He isn't able to nod his head yes or no yet, but, we have been working on signing "yes" and are making good progress :)
At school they sign with alot and maybe he learned "wet." I don't know how to sign wet, but maybe K.C. does :) I need to learn more signs for sure because he may know a sign and I may not recognize it. I am so glad that you noticed that :)
